A NOTE FROM OUR CHAPTER PRESIDENT:

My name is Sara Tefft and I am honored to serve as the Alpha Phi Nu Chapter President. Each day I experience new opportunities and create memories with the most kind-hearted, inspiring and strongest group of women I have ever met. I am excited to welcome you to our website to get a glimpse into our lives and why Alpha Phi is so special to all of us.

The women of Alpha Phi Nu Chapter embody the six values that our sorority was founded upon: sisterhood, service, scholarship, loyalty, leadership and character development. As a chapter, we strive to live out these values each day, not only on the University of Nebraska campus, but also within the Lincoln community. On campus, you will find an Alpha Phi's ranges from RSO's to Husker Athletics and Spirit Squad to Student Government, leaving many with impressions of our driven and committed attitudes.

In Alpha Phi, I have grown into the strong confident woman I am today, all because of the women in this chapter. Alpha Phi's encourage their sisters to be their authentic selves and continuously push each other to be the best version of themselves. Never did I think such genuine and strong friendships were possible, but now I cannot imagine my life without any members of Alpha Phi. Many laughs, tears and smiles have been shared within the walls of this house and they will always hold a special place in my heart.

I feel so blessed to have been influenced by the most loving, hilarious and dedicated group of women throughout my college career. These women and this chapter have made my college experience better than I could have imagined and being Chapter President has been the greatest honor of my life. I hope our website gives you an idea as to why we are so lucky to call each other sisters and Alpha Phi our home.

Loyally in Alpha Phi,

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

We think we're pretty cool, but we're not the only ones!

“Alpha Phi had a tremendous impact on my college experience and my later career. From an APhi sister who prompted me to change my major to marketing, to the encouraged campus organizational involvement that expanded my network, I wouldn't have had the internships or first job offers I did without Alpha Phi. Coming from a small farm town, my ability to navigate the university, let alone the corporate world, was shaky at best. With APhi I not only gained confidence, but also a network and support structure across the country. Today I lead a large sales and marketing organization for Verizon, and I know I'd not have had the success I've had without Alpha Phi.”
“Coming from Minnesota freshman year, I didn’t know anyone at UNL except for a couple people. I was so nervous about going through recruitment, making friends, fitting in, and not to mention starting college classes. To say I was terrified wouldn’t even begin to cover it. After going through recruitment and joining Alpha Phi, all of this turned around almost immediately. I had found a support system of 100+ girls and a home away from home. Throughout freshman year, my friendships only grew stronger and stronger and I only fell more in love with Alpha Phi and everything about it."

"Alpha Phi is home to the greatest women I have ever known. Beauty truly resonates through every curve of this big, white house."
“There is no possible way that I would be where I am today without the love and support of my Alpha Phi sisters. I am currently a Print Designer for a women’s clothing line called “Jude Connally” in the NYC area. At UNL I studied Textiles and Apparel Design, which helped create my love for CAD and print design. With numerous all night projects ,tight deadlines and countless searches for the perfect internship, I would not have been able to get through the “impossible” without my Alpha Phi sisters by my side.”
